‘Girls in Physics’ Breakfast

Physics Breakfast

On Thursday 28 July, thirteen Year 10, 11 and 12 girls attended a ‘Girls in Physics’ breakfast run by VicPhysics this morning. The event featured a talk by astrophysicist Prof Katarina Mijkovic on 'Impacts! Rocks from space colliding with planets' and activities on Careers in STEM. The girls sat on tables with students from other schools and women who are either in a career in physics or engineering, or are at university as an undergraduate or a postgraduate. They had a chance to ask questions about careers and what study at university is like.
