The two 4 day camps to Kangaroobie were jam-packed with activities and nearly all year 7 students signed up which was great. Year 7 students did a series of team building tasks in the GPS activity, hunted and were hunted in ‘The Game’, braved the mud pit in an obstacle course, paddled in and climbed across canoes in the river, were immersed in an interactive presentation about Aboriginal culture, were given the chance to ride a pig if they kissed it on the butt (kids lined up for this …. ) and saw a working farm in action. They also visited Loch Ard Gorge and the Twelve Apostles, learned to bush dance, tested their knowledge and skills in a Trivia competition and did a night walk with Matt on the farm. It was a fun packed and very busy 4 days for each group of students. A great camp enjoyed by all.
